A Children’s Book about our dogs!

The Rescue is a story about Dunder the German Shepherd and the day his parents brought home Munster from the animal shelter – changing both of their lives forever. “The Rescue” shares the message of hope, appreciation, friendship, and animal rescue with the next generation of dog lovers. And what better way to do this than to use our dogs’ story as an example.

This book started out as an idea for our son’s first birthday gift. After receiving several requests from our followers, we felt the need to share it and spread the importance of rescuing animals in need.

We have until April 1st to raise enough funds, to make this happen. Thanks

Baby Bonding (New Video)

I just wrapped up a month off of work for baby bonding. The days were filled with playing with new toys, books, trying out solid foods, naps, partial naps, and bonding. During that time I was actually able to notice a lot more of a bond had formed between me and baby. I firmly believe that people should get much more time off of work to bond with their children, but that’s another story. Here’s a video I took that sums up a typical day. Enjoy!

Have a baby at home? How has the experience been so far?

This picture pretty much describes the last 5 months

This picture pretty much describes the last 5 months. An incredible baby, that requires an incredible family to raise him. I’ve been constantly moving furniture around the house to prep, my wife must have developed an amazing reach in order to do all the multitasking she does, Dunder runs unbelievably fast to the baby every time he cries, and Munster…..well Munster likes to cover himself from the loud noise. Haha. Parenting has been Incredible and we look forward to all the challenges and rewards. Can’t wait til next Halloween!

What an amazing week it has been…

Last week I brought home my first born son. The feeling is indescribable. I’ve been learning a lot about being a parent, a husband and myself. He has completely changed my life in an amazing way. But while he has been keeping me busy, something else has also happened that has taken me by surprise. My photo a day video has gone completely viral. After just one week on YouTube it reached over 3 Million views. I’m getting emails and messages from people I haven’t talked to in years saying that saw me on a website, the news, or their friends have shared my video. It’s all very exciting. A project that started out as something simple for me and my wife, has blown up like I never expected. What an amazing ride it has been so far.

A few publications include Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, Mashable, Pixable, TIME, ABC, Good Morning America, Daily Mail, Laughing Squid, Inside Edition, Elite Daily, SF Globe and the list goes on. I’m having a lot of fun with this and hopefully my son will appreciate this one day.

Video: Time Lapse: Pregnant to Baby in 90 seconds. Photo a day.

Pregnant to Baby in 90 seconds. Photo a day (VIDEO)

I’m happy to announce the birth of my son! And a little project that I’ve been working on for the past 9 months. Since this was our first pregnancy, I have to admit that I was nervous the entire time. Still am with the newborn, but thats another story. Taking a photo a day with plans to compile it into a time-lapse video, helped me turn some of the nerves into creativity. Here is our birth announcement, I hope you enjoy:

Here are a few stills from the video. We start off in the guest room which transforms into the nursery. Included in the video is also a baby moon to Hawaii along with a few other surprises. Check it out and see for yourself.

…Here’s comes fatherhood. Wish me luck!

Newborn Care 101

I changed my first diaper this weekend. Now I just have to practice on a real baby. Shouldn’t be too hard huh? As a kid I was pretty good at Super Soaker fights in the school yard, so hopefully those skills apply.

Since this will be my first time as a father, I’ve been taking a bunch of classes in the community to help me prepare as much as possible. This weekend was Newborn Care 101 and I found it very helpful. I seriously had no idea what to do with the baby once we bring him home, but now I feel a little better now. Other classes that my wife and I have taken are Intro To Breast Feeding, CPR, and Labor and Delivery. The classes take up a good portion of the weekend, but I highly recommend them.

The class also got me thinking about an item that I hadn’t yet added to my todo list. An item that signifies that we are running out of time and should be ready to go any day now. This item really makes me nervous, I guess its because I know that after it is complete, the next time I will use it is when I am in a panic running out the door with my wife, but now is the time pack:
