I created a custom Cars Radiator Springs play table for my toddler’s 2nd Birthday.

For the past few months, my son 1.5 year old son has been crazy about Lightening McQueen and Cars. So that means that I’ve been into it as well. With his 2nd birthday coming up, I knew just what to do. I built him a custom Radiator Springs play table made of wood, clay, and toys from the Disney Pixar Cars movies. This video shows the process, the final product, and his reaction to seeing it. Maybe I’ll take him to see Cars 3 when it comes out! Anyways, enjoy!

Baby Bonding (New Video)

I just wrapped up a month off of work for baby bonding. The days were filled with playing with new toys, books, trying out solid foods, naps, partial naps, and bonding. During that time I was actually able to notice a lot more of a bond had formed between me and baby. I firmly believe that people should get much more time off of work to bond with their children, but that’s another story. Here’s a video I took that sums up a typical day. Enjoy!

Have a baby at home? How has the experience been so far?

This picture pretty much describes the last 5 months

This picture pretty much describes the last 5 months. An incredible baby, that requires an incredible family to raise him. I’ve been constantly moving furniture around the house to prep, my wife must have developed an amazing reach in order to do all the multitasking she does, Dunder runs unbelievably fast to the baby every time he cries, and Munster…..well Munster likes to cover himself from the loud noise. Haha. Parenting has been Incredible and we look forward to all the challenges and rewards. Can’t wait til next Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Hope you have an INCREDIBLE one!

This is my son’s first Halloween. I wanted it to be really epic. I’m pretty happy with the results. πŸ™‚IMG_1998

Say hello The Incredibles.

Swaddle, sway, shush then sleep?

Your baby is tired and cranky, soΒ in a drowsy blur you swaddle him, sway him, and shush him…. your arms are cramping, your back is sore, you’ve shushed out enough air to blow up a bouncy house. All you want to do is get some sleep. Finally he closes his eyes.Β Now it’s time for the switch, from your arms to the crib. You can’t just plop him down and expect him to stay asleep. You need technique. You need skill. The perfect combination of slowly fading out the swaying and placing him down without him noticing. Will he stay asleep while you walk away and enjoy the lost treasure of a couple hours of shut eye? Or will he release a giant ball of screaming and crying that chases you down the hall?
